DOHENY: The PITCHSHIFTER/THE CULT Project Start Shopping!

November 4, 2002

DOHENY, the new group formed by former THE CULT touring bassist Billy Morrison and PITCHSHIFTER frontman J.S. Clayden, have posted a couple of photos taken during a recent photo session at the following locations: #1, #2.

"We have [put together] our [promotional] packages now, and have begun the process [of trying to generate industry interest in the band]," Morrison wrote via his official web site. "We will continue writing songs, but are now on the lookout for the rest of the band. We plan to play a show or two before Xmas, although we need to find the right people first. We'll see how it goes. The titles of the songs that we have mastered so far are 'Drive Me', 'California'. 'Five Miles High', and 'Take My Eyes'. In demo form, they sound rocking. I cannot wait to record them for real. Its exciting being at the beginning of my own band again. I'd forgotten all the little details, and the hard work it takes, just to get shit started. But it's cool to be writing with Jon and I know the tunes we have are killer. DOHENY will be a while getting out there, but both Jon and I get to do stuff with [all-star 'jam' band] CAMP FREDDY in the meantime, and our belief in the strength of the tunes means we both enjoy every step of the process."

In other news, Morrison has posted a lengthy account of CAMP FREDDY's recent star-packed performance at Ivar club in Hollywood at this location.
